Pastor Gerrit Mes
Senior Pastor and founder of the local AFM Church. With 37 years in full time ministry in Krugersdorp. He completed his theological training at the Elim Bible College in England. He was ordained in the AFM of South Africa in 1983.
Pastor Greg van der Merwe
Pastor Greg van der Merwe is an associate Pastor. Greg came through the ranks from visitor, member, youth leader, and so on. Greg studied with the AFM Bible College and is a qualified Pastor of the AFM of South Africa. He is married to Angie and has two daughters.
Lame Stone
Lamè Stone has been a valued member of AFM Noordheuwel for many years. She serves as the church's Office Manager and is often the first point of contact for members and visitors. In addition to overseeing the church office and managing the church's WhatsApp communication, she leads the Ladies' Ministry and faithfully supports many aspects of church life. Known for her caring nature and servant's heart, Lamè is a great blessing to the congregation and is passionate about serving both the church and its people.
Jorid Mes
Jorid Mes is the mother of the assembly. She attended a one year course in Theology at Elim Bible College in England. Jorid is a warm, caring person who has been involved in every department in the church during her 37 years.
Pastor J.J. Mes
Pastor J.J. Mes is an associate Pastor, he studied economics at RAU and obtained a degree and honors in economics. He has also completed a degree in theology through SATS. He has been involved in a number of departments but his passion is worship. He is married to Candice and they have a son, Levi Gerrit.
Pastor Jonathon Lombaard
Pastor Jonathon Lombaard has been a member of AFM Noordheuwel for many years and has served on the church staff since 2016. Ordained as a pastor in 2025, he holds a Bachelor of Theology through the South African Theological Seminary (SATS). Jonathon is passionate about the faithful teaching of God’s Word, discipleship, and pastoral ministry, and serves across the various ministries of the church alongside his wife, Kayla, and their son, Noah.
