AFM Noordheuwel Church in Krugersdorp was established in 1981 and has grown from a congregation of eight members, to well over a thousand. Headed by Pastor Gerrit Mes and his wife Jorid Mes, the AFM church is now the single largest English assembly in the AFM.

A little bit of our history

In 1981 pastor Gerrit Mes started house services. When that became too small they moved to a church hall and from there proceeded to conduct services in a school hall. Shortly after that they bought a little Methodist church building: 32 Tanner Street, Krugersdorp West. It was 9 years later that they purchased a piece of ground in 88 Libertas Ave, Noordheuwel, and built upon it a complex currently worth millions.

Today, the church has expanded into a second building which seats over 1000 people. As for the future? Only God knows the heights of where he would like the church to go to next.
